My Sony 24x cdrw was working fine before i reinstalled XP.
I can still write to cdrw discs.Im using Nero.
Now however when i try to burn a cdr it goes as far as writing the lead in @
6% then just stays there the disc spinning but no writing.I eventually have
to cancel and end up with a coaster.I took the drive out and put an older
cdrw drive in and that works ok.Is the drive kaput or is there something i
could try ?

What version of Nero and InCD are you using?

Try InCD 3.5.24.0 at ftp://ftp.nero.com/InCD35240.exe.
